Food service manager certified in food safety. Observed hat & beard snoods. Inmate clothing acceptable. Observed hand washing by food employees. Questions regarding food preparation occurring at time of inspection were answered correctly. Food thermometers available. Thermometers were in coolers/freezers. Per discussion Dept. of Corrections staff, pest control is completed weekly. Trash removal is weekly & Rumpke is to bring a cleaned, sanitized dumpster. If dumpster is not cleaned & sanitized Rumpke brings a different one to meet contract. Most of the food waste is recycled at Pickaway Corrections |
