Pest control operator comes monthly. Observed proper food handling. Employee health policy in use. No critical observations at time of inspection. Thanks! Person-in-charge did not ensure that the facility has written procedures for employees to follow when responding to vomiting or diarrheal events. This is a new requirement (3717-1-2.4 (C)(16)) for facilities which is put in place to ensure facilities have a plan for cleaning up fecal or vomiting events. http://www.cdc.gov/norovirus/preventing-infection.html is a helpful website to help write a plan and get the equipment you need to have an effective spill kit ready when needed. Personal protective equipment including gloves, apron, eye glasses, are recommended; a strong sanitizer, and absorbent material are needed. As of March 1, 2016, all level 3 and 4 facilities are required to have one managerial employee who is certified in level 2 food protection. Our office provides ServSafe courses which satisfies this new requirement. Please have one employee level 2 certified before March 1, 2017. |
