Please share this information......A copy of Hep A is attached as is another copy of the Conditional/Foodservice Employee Reporting Agreement.

Ohio Department of Health has recently issued a statewide Hep A outbreak notice. Michigan has had 800 cases since 2016 with 25 reported deaths. We have the same strain here in Ohio.

Your best defense is effective handwashing-no jewelry at fingers or items at wrists and good incorporated glove use. The other defense program is preventative where all employees coming into contact with either foods or food contact surfaces or close in surfaces that can cause ‘transfers’ into people sign off on the self-reporting form. Have them understand that this also means if they come into contact with either a family member, friend, worker, etc. that has confirmed food illness…then they must report to their management owner/operator that contact. The owner/operator must contact us (TLCHD 419-213-4100 option 3). We will follow up by tracing/tracking for resolutions. It’s a way to do damage control-crisis management-business continuity to protect our citizens.

Thanks John
