Fond du Lac County Health Department Mission Statement

Fond du Lac County Health Department prevents disease, protects the community, and promotes healthy living for all.

The Fond du Lac County Health Department (FDLCHD) is an agent for the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.  In addition to agent licensing and inspection activites, staff investigate food and water-related outbreaks, complete human health hazards, provide lead risk assessments and investigations of homes with at-risk children, manage the rabies control program and provide indoor radon and water quailty education.

Our program goal is to have establishments that provide safe food and recreational opportunities for those who live, work, and visit Fond du Lac County.

Fond du Lac County is located in Southeastern Wisconsin, with a total population of 101,984.  The FDLCHD is the only public health agency for the jurisdiction.
