Routine inspection conducted with water system operator Martin McFarlane
- 2019 sample range report provided and reviewed - water system is currently in compliance with Schedule A (water quality) and Schedule B (sampling frequency) of the Drinking Water Protection Regulations
- full chemical completed April 2019 - all parameters tested were below or within the guideline limits - next full chemical due in 3 years (2022)
- annual report - 2018 - Marty to check with Tony to confirm how made available
- chlorine residual measured at the New Directions Building - 0.37 mg/L Mary measured today 0.42 mg/L - recorded in dedicated logbook - new HACH test kit now used
- re-plumbing of pump house completed by EDS Pumps in November 2019
- well has been determine to be at risk of containing pathogens (GARP) - additional disinfection is required (i.e. UV disinfection) - ensure new upgrades to water system include UV disinfection
- ensure construction permit application is submitted to Fraser Health prior to any alterations, extensions or upgrades to water system.
- chlorine is currently dosed based on a timer to inject into cistern from 1- 3 a.m. - upgrades to include dosing system based on flow / water use
- well locked and secured - new lock to be installed
- ensure well house is inspected on a regular basis i.e. monthly
- pump house - piping to be labelled for direction of flow
- recommend to decrease volume of chlorine in holding tank to decrease amount loss to volatilization - this will help to stabilize the chlorine concentration
- logbook to be kept at pump house to record when chlorine added to holding tank
