04(B) OBSERVATION: Combined chlorine was not tested daily at pool side prior to use. Readings are entered twice daily in the logbook for total and combined chlorine, yet very little, if any, of reagent #3 (which is to be added in the same quantity as reagents #1 & 2 to determine total and combined chlorine) appears to have been used so far this season. Corrective Action: Test for combined chlorine (i.e., add 5 drops of reagent #3 to the free chlorine test sample) prior to bathers entering the water every 12 hours while the pool is in use (pool operates for 13 hours daily). Disinfectant residual, water quality readings, and turnover rate (30 minutes max.) meet code requirements at this time. Thank you for adjusting the flow (since the last inspection) so that the water is contained to the spray pad and not inadvertently draining into the adjacent pools. |
