3701-31-04 (C)(3) / Total alkalinity is at or greater than 60 ppm
Repeat Total alkalinity measured at 40 ppm was less than 60 ppm.
Add ~57 lbs. of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) to the pool water so as to raise the total alkalinity to an optimum reading of 100 ppm.

Pool inspection notes: Disinfectant residual and water quality readings meet minimum code requirements at this time. Water clarity is excellent. Pool has two (2) large unblockable custom fabricated drains in the deep end of the pool. Recommend replacing pool reagents annually (mark received by date on reagents or kit to keep track). ACC tested during inspection. Visual no flow alarm activated; chemical feed pumps deactivated as required. Total alkalinity was measured at 60 ppm which is minimum acceptable reading by code. National Swimming Pool Foundation recommends maintaining total alkalinity at 80-120 ppm with a target reading of 100 ppm. Pool looks great! |
