3701-31-04 (B)(6)(q) / Depth markers/deck warning signs are maintained
Repeat Depth markers were not maintained in a clearly legible/visible manner.
Replace the depth markers so that bathers are able to clearly see the depth of the water. At least two (2) depth markers are required at all wading pools. Depth must be reflected in feet and inches (to the nearest 6 inches), not more than 25 lineal feet apart.
3701-31-04 (C)(2) / pH is within 7.2 to 7.8
pH reading of 7.1 is slightly below the bottom limit of the required range of 7.2 to 7.8 for pH.
Treat the pool water so that the pH is within the acceptable range.
The following violation(s) have been corrected since the last inspection. |

3701-31-04 (B)(1)(d)/Circulation/Disinfection system shall operate properly. Circulation system was not operating properly at the time of the inspection. Pump is running, but not circulating any water. Troy Davis of Swimsafe was immediately contacted via cell phone but did not answer the call. A voice message was left for him. Do not operate the pool when the circulation system is not operating properly. Ensure that the circulation system is functioning properly prior to placing the pool back into operation. This writer left a voice message for Mr. Davis informing him of the situation and of my action to shut off the pump. Troy returned the call within about 15 minutes and indicated that he spent two hours onsite this morning trying to reprime the pump and managed to get it reprimed at about half-prime. A maintenance call has been placed to SwimSafe, and they will be onsite later this afternoon to examine the pump. "Danger Pool Closed" sign has been posted and will remain in place until the circulation system is functioning properly. |

Facility inspection notes: Thank you for correcting the critical violation (new pump motor was installed by SwimSafe) noted on the previous inspection report. Only noncritical violations remain. Chlorine residual (measured at 7.0 ppm this morning) is much higher than necessary. However, it more than meets minimum code requirements at this time. Water clarity is sufficient at this time. |
