[?] A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(i) / Disinfection residuals are tested daily at pool side at required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features
Repeat Disinfection residuals, free and total chlorine, were not tested daily at pool side and at the required intervals for pools (every four hours).
Test the disinfection residual every day before bathers enter the water. Disinfection residual must then be tested every 4 hours on each day the pool is open for patrons.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(ii) / Combined chlorine is tested daily at pool side prior to use
Repeat Combined chlorine was not tested daily at pool side prior to use. 6/23/18 did not have readings for free, total, or combined chlorine.
Test for combined chlorine prior to bathers entering the water and every 4 hours the pool is open for use.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(iii) / pH is tested daily at pool side at required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features
Repeat pH was not tested daily at pool side at required intervals for pools. Weekend readings (saturday 6/23/18) were not recorded.
pH must be tested prior to bathers entering the water and every 4 hours the pool is open for use.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(iv) / Water temperatures are recorded daily
Repeat Water temperatures were not being recorded daily.
Take and record the water temperature at least once/day.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(v) / Water clarity are not present
Make sure to record water clarity during each pool side test.
If the drains at the bottom of the pool cannot be seen at all pounts on the pool deck do not operate the pool. Determine cause of the lack of clarity and immediately correct the issue prior to bathers using the public swimming pool. Make sure to record how the problem was fixed.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(k) / Outlet drain covers are secure/meet ANSI/ASME A112.19.8-2007 requirements.
Critical Corrected During Inspection Equalizer lines were not covered pool side or plugged in the skimmer.
The PIC properly plugged the equalizer lines during the inspection.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(o) / Ladders/stairs/steps are in good repair/slip resistent
Repeat The hand rail leading to the shallow end of the pool was not in good repair. The rail was observed to be loose and could be pulled up from the ground..
Tighten the rail so that it is secured tight to the ground and may be safely used by patrons entering and exiting the pool.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(q) / Depth markers/deck warning signs are maintained
Repeat Depth markers/deck warning signs were not available along the wading pool.
Create depth markers/deck warning signs along the rim of the wading pool so that bathers are able to clearly see the depth of the water and that no diving is permitted where clearly indicated.

Inspection Information

[?] Facility Type: Pool

[?] Inspection Type: Standard

[?] Inspection Date: 25-June-2018

Comments
-The disinfectant residuals and water quality parameters meet code requirement.
-Free chlorine was 11 ppm, this is a little high. Above 20 ppm may harm swimmers. The ideal range is 2-4 ppm.
-All required safety equipment was provided.
-The pool perimeter was secure.
-The filter pressure was 12/15 psi.
-The pool water is clear.
-Turn over rate was 385 minutes.
-Make sure to record readings every four hours and before bathers enter the pool every day the pool is open.
-Make sure to record water temperatures daily.
-Record water clarity during each reading. If the drains in the deep end can not be seen at all points on the pool deck close the pool.
-Make sure to test alkalinity and cyanuric acid once a week. Once the cyanuric acid goes above 70, drain the pool half way and refill the pool. Make sure to document the refill of the pool if this does occur.
