~ Ensure that when the pool is closed (due to Covid-19 or other reasons) that the closure is marked as such on the record sheet.
~ Reminder that pool chemistry MUST be done everyday that the pool is operational, prior to opening and every 12 hours the pool is open to bathers.
~ Suggest lowering free chlorine level to below 10 ppm. The test kit that this operation uses cannot read free chlorine levels above 10 ppm thus when combined chlorine is present, the kit will not indicate this. The combined chlorine at the time of this inspection is at the maximum level allowable (1 ppm). More than 1 ppm of combined chlorine prevents from proper disinfection. Another option to detect the combined chlorine is switching to a different testing method. Both of these options were discussed with the pool manager.
