Violations: A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(i)
Disinfection residuals were not tested daily at pool side and/or at the required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features.
Test the disinfection residual every day before bathers enter the water. Disinfection residual must then be tested every 4 hours when an ACC is not in use. If an ACC is in use the disinfectant residual must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use. For spraygrounds and spray features, the disinfectant residual must be tested at 1 spray feature every 6 hours the sprayground or spray feature is in use. (POOL CHEMISTRY IS NOT BEING TESTED ON THE WEEKENDS. ESTABLISHMENT MUST TEST POOL CHEMISTRY EVERY DAY THAT THE POOL IS OPERATIONAL AND MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO BATHERS ENTERING THE POOL AND EVERY 12 HOURS THAT THE POOL IS OPERATIONAL. THIS POOL IS OPEN FROM 6 A.M. TO 12 A.M. WHICH MEANS THAT THIS POOL NEEDS TO HAVE CHEMISTRY TESTED PRIOR TO 6 A.M. AND THEN PRIOR TO 6 P.M. )
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(ii)
Repeat Combined chlorine was not tested daily at pool side prior to use.
Test for combined chlorine prior to bathers entering the water and every 4 hours the pool is open for use. If ACC is in use combined chlorine must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use. For spraygrounds and spray features, the combined chlorine must be tested at 1 spray feature every 6 hours the sprayground or spray feature is in use. (FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS IN THE TEST KIT THAT EXPLAIN HOW TO CALCULATE COMBINED CHLORINE. TOTAL CHLORINE MINUS FREE CHLORINE EQUALS COMBINED CHLORINE. IDEAL IS FOR COMBINED CHLORINE TO BE EQUAL TO ZERO. COMBINED CHLORINE CANNOT EXCEED ONE.)
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(f)
Required turnover rates were not met.
Have the circulation system evaluated to determine why the turnover rates are not able to be met. Once the reasons have been determined have the issue repaired. If necessary, submit plans to the Ohio Department of Health to review and approve. (THE FLOW METER READING WAS APPROXIMATELY 15 gpm AT TIME OF INSPECTION. THE REQUIRED FLOW FOR THIS POOL IS TO BE BETWEEN 40-70 gpm. THE REASON FOR THE REDUCTION IN FLOW NEEDS TO BE DETERMINED AND CORRECTED)
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(t)
Corrected During Inspection Critical Equipment/chemical/storage areas were not secured.
These storage areas must be kept inaccessible to everyone but authorized personnel. Secure the areas. (AT TIME OF INSPECTION THE EQUIPMENT ROOM WAS UNLATCHED. MAKE SURE TO KEEP DOOR LOCKED AND LATCHED CLOSED)
3701-31-04 (E)(3)(b)
Repeat The unguarded pool was in use without the "Children must be supervised" and "Swimming alone is not recommended" signs posted.
Post the "Children must be supervised" and "Swimming Alone is Not Recommended" signs at all times the pool is available for use. (ESTABLISHMENT DOES NOT HAVE A SIGN STATING "SWIMMING ALONE IS NOT RECOMMENDED". HAVE A SIGN MADE THAT STATES "SWIMMING ALONE IS NOT RECOMMENDED" AND POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE WITHIN THE POOL AREA)
