3701-31-04 (A) / All construction or alterations of a public swimming pool are approved

3701-31-04 (B)(4) / The licensee /authorized representative is keeping records
Repeat Records are not being kept consistently on days which the pool is open; staff are not available to perform testing on some days.

3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(ii) / Combined chlorine is tested daily at pool side prior to use
Combined chlorine was not tested daily at pool side prior to use.
Test for combined chlorine prior to bathers entering the water and every 4 hours the pool is open for use. If ACC is in use combined chlorine must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use. For spraygrounds and spray features, the combined chlorine must be tested at 1 spray feature every 6 hours the sprayground or spray feature is in use.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(iii) / pH is tested daily at pool side at required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features

Water temperatures were not being recorded daily.

Backwash lines and lines from drainage sumps did not have an air gap prior to discharge
Open the lines that discharge into the backwash or drainage sumps so that there is an air gap and the lines can drain freely.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(k) / Outlet drain covers are secure/meet ANSI/ASME A112.19.8-2007 requirements.
Critical Outlet drain covers were not secure or were not in place.
Secure/install the outlet covers immediately to prevent entrapment/evisceration.
3701-31-04 (C)(2) / pH is within 7.2 to 7.8
pH was outside the range of 7.2 to 7.8.
Treat the pool water so that the pH is within the acceptable range.
3701-31-04 (D)(7)(d) / Flow or pressure switch for a shut off valve provided and unit is tested monthly
Critical Pressure switch valve is not being tested monthly; testing should be done per manufacturer's specifications and recorded on daily operation logs.

3701-31-04(D)(6)(a)(1) / Combined chlorine shall not exceed 1.0 ppm.
Combined chlorine was greater than 1.0 ppm.
Treat the pool so that the combined chlorine is less than 1 ppm.

Drain covers are available on site, but have not yet been installed. ACC and flow switches should be checked at least monthly to ensure they are operating properly. For days which the pool is not open, it should be reflected in daily records.
