Comments
When using CYA (cyanuric acid) the alkalinity level is calculated by subtracting 1/3 the CYA level from the alkalinity reading. EXAMPLE: alkalinity test reading = 70 ppm, CYA = 60 ppm. Alkalinity is 70 ppm – (60/3) = 50 ppm.

Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are kept in the lifeguard notebook. Keep Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), chemical gloves and goggles, are available for handling chemicals.

The Certificate of Compliance for the main drain cover(s) is/are available in the equipment room. Our records show that the main drain suction outlet covers (AquaStar WAV12) were installed 6/1/2019. The covers have a 5 year life span and must be replaced before 6/1/2024.
