Equipment, at a public swimming pool, was changed/altered without obtaining approval from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) by submitting an Equipment Replacement Notification (ERN). The chlorine pump was replaced 2 years ago without approval.

When using CYA (cyanuric acid) the alkalinity level is calculated by subtracting 1/3 the CYA level from the alkalinity reading. EXAMPLE: alkalinity test reading = 70 ppm, CYA = 60 ppm. Alkalinity is 70 ppm – (60/3) = 50 ppm

The operator was observed performing onsite chemical tests appropriately .

The Certificate of Compliance is not available for the main drain cover. Keep a copy at the facility for future review.
