Pool not open at the time of inspection

-BEFORE OPENING THE POOL ENSURE THE FREE CHLORINE LEVEL IS AT LEAST 1 PPM. Better the keep free chlorine level between 2-4 ppm.

-To prevent chemical accidents the chemical feeder pump should be moved from above the other feeder pump. Chemical feeder pumps should not be mounted above other chemical feeder pumps or chemical containers to prevent possible mixing of chemicals and producing toxic gas. If chlorine is mixed with muriatic acid, chlorine gas is formed, which can lead to severe injuries and fatalities (SIFs) to exposed individuals.

-Keep documentation of the ASSE 1013 backflow preventer’s annual inspection available at the pool facility for review by the health department.

-Our records show that the main drain suction outlet covers (AquaStar 1216) were installed 7/1/2018. The covers have a 5 year life span and must be replaced before 7/1/2023.

-The emergency phone works, but the volume was very low.
