[?] A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

3701-31-04 (B)(6)(f) / Required turnover rates are sufficient
Required turnover rates were not met. -Observed the flow rate was 90gmp, which was belowed the required mimimum of 102 gpm to reach the turnover rate of 480 minutes. ADJUST THE FLOW OF THE SYSTEM.
Have the circulation system evaluated to determine why the turnover rates are not able to be met. Once the reasons have been determined have the issue repaired. If necessary, submit plans to the Ohio Department of Health to review and approve.
3701-31-04 (C)(2) / pH is within 7.2 to 7.8
pH was outside the range of 7.2 to 7.8. -Observed the pH was 7.0 ADJUST THE pH TO BE BETWEEN 7.2-7.8.
Treat the pool water so that the pH is within the acceptable range.
3701-31-04 (C)(3) / Total alkalinity is at or greater than 60 ppm
Total alkalinity was less than 60 ppm. -When adjusted for cyanuric acid, the alkalinity was observed to be 43.5 ppm. -The operator added chemicals to adjust the alkalinity during the inspection, but the values were not able to be retested at that time.
Raise the total alkalinity to at least 60 ppm.

Inspection Information

Facility Type: Pool

[?] Inspection Type: Standard

Inspection Date: 21-July-2023

Comments
The operator was observed performing onsite chemical tests appropriately and is aware of the acceptable parameters and necessary corrective actions.

When using CYA (cyanuric acid) the alkalinity level is calculated by subtracting 1/3 the CYA level from the alkalinity reading. EXAMPLE: alkalinity test reading = 70 ppm, CYA = 60 ppm. Alkalinity is 70 ppm – (60/3) = 50 ppm
