| The Certificate of Compliance for the main drain covers is available in the equipment room. Chemical feeder pumps should not be mounted above other chemical feeder pumps or chemical containers to prevent possible mixing of chemicals and producing toxic gas. If chlorine is mixed with muriatic acid chlorine gas is formed, which can lead to severe injuries and fatalities (SIFs) to exposed individuals. When using CYA (cyanuric acid) the alkalinity level is calculated by subtracting 1/3 the CYA level from the alkalinity reading. EXAMPLE: alkalinity test reading = 70 ppm, CYA = 60 ppm. Alkalinity is 70 ppm – (60/3) = 50 ppm CDC DOES NOT RECOMMEND CHLORINE LEVELS EXCEED 10 PPM. |
