Comments
*At time of inspection the free residual chlorine reading was .51 per inspectors digital test kit and <1 per operators liquid drop test kit. Free chlorine residual must be at least 1ppm or greater to disinfect organisms known to cause waterborne disease. Once free Cl levels are detected below 1ppm the pool should be vacated until it is raised above 1ppm again, ideally to the 2-3ppm range to provide a buffer against bather load and atmospheric conditions. The pool was vacated during inspection and the pool was shocked with DiChlor. After the 30 minute shock period retest the free Cl levels again. If below 1ppm still then re-shock the pool and wait 30 minutes until it is in the required safe operational range again. A re-inspection will take place tomorrow to test chlorine levels again on this pool. Please review policy and rules and be aware that when Cl is less than 1ppm the pool should be closed until raised into range.
