ALTHOUGH THE UV LIGHT IS NOT REQUIRED, IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BECAUSE IT DESTROYS CRYPO WHERE AS CHLORINE DOES NOT. THE UV LIGHT ALSO CONTROLS THE COMBINE CHLORINE LEVELS WHICH IS PROBLEM FOR INDOOR POOLS AND SPAS.
