Inspection Information

Facility Type: Pool

[?] Inspection Type: Standard

Inspection Date: 13-July-2023

Comments
-Observed there was a "pool closed" sign posted on the front gate at the time of inspection.
-The emergency phone was observed to not work.
-Observed the cyanuric acid was 100ppm. The pool will need to be partially drained to lower the cyanuric acid to below 70ppm.
-The alkalinity was 37ppm when adjusted for the cyanuric acid.
-When using CYA (cyanuric acid) the alkalinity level is calculated by subtracting 1/3 the CYA level from the alkalinity reading. EXAMPLE: alkalinity test reading = 70ppm, CYA = 100 ppm. Alkalinity is 70 ppm – (100/3) = 37 ppm
-The chlorine level was 25ppm. CDC DOES NOT RECOMMEND CHLORINE LEVELS HIGHER THAN 10 ppm.
-Observed that combined chlorine and total chlorine levels are being mixed up in the records.
-ENSURE THE WATER CHEMISTRY IS ADJUSTED AND THE EMERGENCY PHONE IS REPAIRED OR REPLACED PRIOR TO REOPENING THE POOL.
