| RE-POST THE EMERGENCY PHONE SIGN. When using CYA (cyanuric acid) the alkalinity level is calculated by subtracting 1/3 the CYA level from the alkalinity reading. EXAMPLE: alkalinity test reading = 70 ppm, CYA = 60 ppm. Alkalinity is 70 ppm – (60/3) = 50 ppm Keep the chemicals’ Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in the equipment room and have Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as chemical gloves and goggles available for handling chemicals. |
