Inspection Information

Facility Type: Pool

[?] Inspection Type: Standard

Inspection Date: 30-May-2023

Comments
Keep documentation of the ASSE 1013 backflow preventer’s annual inspection available at the pool facility for review by the health department.

When using CYA (cyanuric acid) the alkalinity level is calculated by subtracting 1/3 the CYA level from the alkalinity reading. EXAMPLE: alkalinity test reading = 70 ppm, CYA = 60 ppm. Alkalinity is 70 ppm – (60/3) = 50 ppm

Our records show that the main drain suction outlet covers (Waterway 640-472xV) were installed on 6-1-21. The covers have a 7 year life span and must be replaced before 6-1-28.

The main drain certificate of compliance is in the old binder. Be careful not to misplace it. The chemicals' MSDS are in a pile of old reports. Be care not to misplace them too.

Check the flow meter. There may sand next to the float.

Check the filter pressure gauge. It was reading 2 psi.

The CDC does not recommend chlorine levels to exceed 10 ppm.
