Ensure that the emergency device is functioning properly and rings to the emergency response authorities. Emergency phone did not register a dial tone when picked up. Ensure that phone line is working. If 911 activates it despite no dial tone then test phone via dialing 911 and ensure that it is working. Contact Avon fire and rescue prior to testing phone.
