Inspection Information

Facility Type: Special Use

[?] Inspection Type: Standard

Inspection Date: 24-June-2022

Comments
When using CYA (cyanuric acid) the alkalinity level is calculated by subtracting 1/3 the CYA level from the alkalinity reading. EXAMPLE: alkalinity test reading = 70 ppm, CYA = 60 ppm. Alkalinity is 70 ppm – (60/3) = 50 ppm

Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are kept in the equipment room and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), chemical gloves and goggles, are available for handling chemicals.

The Certificate of Compliance for the main drain cover(s) is/are available in the equipment room. Our records show that the main drain suction outlet covers (AquaStar WAV 12) were installed 8/1/2018. The covers have a 5 year life span and must be replaced before 8/1/2023. The cover has a flow rating of 274 gpm. WHEN REPLACING THE COVERS, ENSURE THAT THE NEW COVERS' FLOW RATING WILL NOT EXCEEDED. 375 gpm.

The operator was observed performing onsite chemical tests appropriately and is aware of the acceptable parameters and necessary corrective actions.
