3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(i)
Disinfection residuals were not tested daily at pool side and/or at the required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features.
Test the disinfection residual every day before bathers enter the water. Disinfection residual must then be tested every 4 hours when an ACC is not in use. If an ACC is in use the disinfectant residual must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use. For spraygrounds and spray features, the disinfectant residual must be tested at 1 spray feature every 6 hours the sprayground or spray feature is in use.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(ii)
Combined chlorine was not tested daily at pool side prior to use.
Test for combined chlorine prior to bathers entering the water and every 4 hours the pool is open for use. If ACC is in use combined chlorine must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use. For spraygrounds and spray features, the combined chlorine must be tested at 1 spray feature every 6 hours the sprayground or spray feature is in use.

Water temperatures were not being recorded daily.

Total alkalinity was not tested weekly.
Test total alkalinity at least once/week.

Cyanuric acid was not tested weekly.
Test for cyanuric acid level at least once/week.
3701-31-04 (C)(2)
pH was outside the range of 7.2 to 7.8.
Treat the pool water so that the pH is within the acceptable range. (Note: Pool is to be closed in the next few days for the season.)
3701-31-04 (D)(05)
Repeat Cyanuric acid level exceeded 70 ppm
Drain the pool at least halfway and fill with clean water. Monitor the amount of cyanuric acid being used and adjust accordingly. (Note: Pool is to be closed for the season in the next couple of days.)
3701-31-04 (D)(8)(a)
DPD test kit was not used for testing water quality. Strips are being used for monitoring.
Obtain a DPD test kit to test water quality of the pool.
3701-31-04 (E)(2)(a)(ii)
A USCG Type IV personal flotation device with 30 -60 foot throw line was not provided at the unguarded pool. (The flotation device present had rope connected - but only 20 ft. as measured at the time of inspection.)
Provide a proper floatation device at all times.
Comments
It was discovered by our surveyor during this inspection that at some point in time, the motor for the pump was changed to a 1.0 horsepower from what is indicated on our paperwork as originally approved for a 3/4 horsepower. This could be the reason why the filter is typically always at (or close to) the maximum allowable flow level. This change will need to be reviewed by ODH Engineering Unit. I will provide the paperwork for you to accomplish this.

Additionally, back in May 2017, I noted on my inspection report that there had been a new chlorine feeder installed and an equipment replacement form would need to be completed and sent in. I failed to follow up on that, so I will provide you a form and assistance on getting this taken care of as well.
