3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(iv) Water temperatures were not being recorded daily. Take and record the water temperature at least once/day.

3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(vi) Total alkalinity was not tested and/or recorded weekly. Test and record total alkalinity at least once/week.

3701-31-04 (B)(6)(c) Cross connection hazards were present. At time of inspection, observed the fill hose submerged in the filter pit. After informing operator, the hose was placed above the floor rim to properly air gap the hose and remove cross connection hazards. Remove all cross connection hazards from the pool area.

3701-31-04 (B)(6)(h) Repeat Flow meter was not functioning on the pipe leading to the wading pool, so a flow reading could not be taken. Maintain all meters and gauges in a properly funtioning manner at all times while the pool is in operation.

3701-31-04 (C)(2) Repeat pH was outside the range of 7.2 to 7.8. pH observed at 8.0 at time of inspection. Treat the pool water so that the pH is within the acceptable range.

The following violation(s) have been corrected since the last inspection.
3701-31-04 (B)(1)(c)/Minimum disinfection residual shall be maintained as required. At time of inspection, free chlorine residual observed at 0 ppm. Ensure free chlorine residual is maintained greater than 1 ppm at all times during facility operation.

Comments

Facility operator stated that on-site assistant manager did not follow the proper steps required, resulting in the lack of chlorine in the pool. Flow meter on wading pool piping not functioning. Replace flow meter so a proper flow reading can be taken. Inspector noted pool liner on left side of wading pool on 1 ft. side pulling away from pool wall and floor and wrinkling. Consider addressing this prior to further deterioration. Provide the following documents to the inspector: Pool opening procedure Pool chlorine procedure Instructions for operation of chlorine pump Checklist of pool chemistry that needs to be checked and recorded Inspection conducted with Taylor Munn.
