Facility Type: Pool
[?] Inspection type: Consultation
Inspection date: 15-June-2017
No violations were documented at the time of inspection.
Comments
Consult was conducted due to phone call requesting assistance concerning pool function. Upon entering the pump room, the automatic chemical controller probes were observed submerged in water with dirt debris build-up. Also, the pH reading on the chemical controller was observed at 5.5 with no acid in the container along with the ORP reading 725. Attempted to test the water utilizing the DPD test kit but because of the age of the test kit (over 1 year old) was unable. At the time of inspection, the pool operator had the pool closed, and the "Danger Pool Closed" sign was observed.

Continue to cease operation of the pool. Obtain a DPD test kit, with FAS-DPD chlorine, and consult a commercial pool company to have the automatic chemical controller, along with the probes, cleaned, calibrated and set-up properly. Also, ensure the pool company reviews the system. Once the aforementioned items are completed contact the health department for an inspection.
