Inspection Information
Facility Name: Home 2 Suites
Facility Type: Pool
[?] Inspection type: Standard
Inspection date: 05-April-2023
Violations: A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
3701-31-04 (B)(1)(e)
Critical At the time of inspection, the automatic chemical controller (ACC) was observed displaying chlorine values in parts per million (ppm).
On the ACC, the chlorine value shall be displayed in oxygen reduction potential (ORP). Refigure the ACC to have the chlorine read ORP values.
3701-31-04 (B)(1)(e)
Critical When tested at the time of inspection, the automatic chemical controller (ACC) flow switch was observed not functioning properly.
To ensure the chlorine feeder will discontinue feeding when flow stopped, the ACC flow switch shall function properly and be able to be tested and documented on a monthly basis. Upon making the PIC aware of this, they voluntarily ceased operation of the pool. Have the pool remain closed until the ACC flow switch is able to be tested.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(c)
The automatic chemical controller (ACC) flow alarm was observed not being tested or documented on a monthly basis.
Test and document the ACC flow alarm monthly.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)
Repeat At the time of inspection, the flow was observed exceeding the maximum allowable filter flow (75 gallons per minute vs. 62.8 gallons per minute)
To ensure the water is properly filtered, the flow shall not exceed the filter's manufacturer's specifications. Reduce the pool's flow.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(c)(ii)
At the time of inspection, the backwash line was observed with an air break.
Eliminate a portion of the end of the pipe to allow for a 2'' to 4'' gap between the discharge pipe and drain.
Comments
- At the time of inspection, the automatic chemical controller (ACC) was observed not reading oxygen reduction potential (ORP) and unable to be tested for "no flow" (see violations). During the inspection, the operator stated they had contacted the pool management company for repairs and the pool will remain closed until they are completed and a reinspection is performed (on or after 4/6/2023). All other violations will be checked during the next standard inspection.

- Inspection was conducted by not only Jason Dreier but also Tyler Dix.
