- No violations noted this inspection. - Due to the fact that the pool is licensed separately, it shall meet the requirements set forth in the Ohio Administrative Code 3701-31 separate from the adjacent lap pool. Per OAC 3701-31-04(E)(4)(a) and the surface area of the pool, unless there are more than 51 bathers, a lifeguard is not required. If a lifeguard is not present, then the following signs shall be posted (3701-31-04(E)(3)): 1. "Warning, No Lifeguard" prominently in the public swimming pool area 2. "Swimming Alone is not Recommended" 3. "Children must be Supervised" If intend on having a lifeguard on duty at this pool during operational hours, the signs above are not necessary and the lifeguard on duty would be required only to monitor this pool. - Also, due to the pool being licensed separately, separate safety equipment shall be present. Per OAC 3701-31-04(E)(2), the following safety equipment is required: 1. At least one non-telescopic reach pole twelve feet long with shepherd's crook 2. At least one US Coast Guard Type IV personal flotation device with one-quarter inch diameter line not less than 30 ft or more than 60 ft 3. At least one back or spine board (with a lifeguard present, equipped with straps and head immobilizer) - At the time of inspection, the water quality readings were observed within normal limits. - Inspection was conducted by not only Jason Dreier but also Shane Snapp and Hannah Zaciewski. |
