- Due to the fact that the pool is licensed separately, it shall meet the requirements set forth in the Ohio Administrative Code 3701-31 separate from the adjacent lap pool. Per OAC 3701-31-04(E)(4)(a) and the surface area of the pool, unless there are more than 51 bathers, a lifeguard is not required. If a lifeguard is not present, then the following signs shall be posted (3701-31-04(E)(3)):
1. "Warning, No Lifeguard" prominently in the public swimming pool area
2. "Swimming Alone is not Recommended"
3. "Children must be Supervised"
If intend on having a lifeguard on duty at this pool during operational hours, the signs above are not necessary and the lifeguard on duty would be required only to monitor this pool.

- Also, due to the pool being licensed separately, separate safety equipment shall be present. Per OAC 3701-31-04(E)(2), the following safety equipment is required:
1. At least one non-telescopic reach pole twelve feet long with shepherd's crook
2. At least one US Coast Guard Type IV personal flotation device with one-quarter inch diameter line not less than 30 ft or more than 60 ft
