3701-31-04 (B)(1)(a)
Critical - At the time of inspection, the equalize lines VGB covers were observed out of compliance.
To prevent entanglement hazards, all main drain and equalizer line covers shall be VGB complaint. Replace the equalizer line covers and ensure the life span of the cover and date of installation are documented and on file. Cease operation of the pool until the equalizer lines are covered with an up-to-date VGB compliant covers.
3701-31-04 (E)(2)(e)
Repeat In the pool area, an emergency telephone was not observed
To contact assistance during an emergency, a telephone shall be provided. Provide an emergency telephone.
The following violation(s) have been corrected since the last inspection.
3701-31-04 (B)(1)(c)/Minimum disinfection residual shall be maintained as required.
At the time of inspection, the free chlorine was observed at 0.0 ppm.
In order to disinfect the pool, the free chlorine shall be at or above 1.0 ppm. At the time of inspection, the PIC voluntarily closed the pool. Ensure the free chlorine is at or above 1.0 ppm.
3701-31-04 (B)(1)(d)/Circulation/Disinfection system shall operate properly.
Upon entering the pump room, the pump was observed in disrepair - not functioning.
To allow for proper circulation and disinfection, the pump shall be functioning properly. At the time of inspection, the PIC voluntarily closed the pool and was going to contact a professional for repairs or replacement. Contact the health department when repairs or replacement of the circulation system is completed.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(i)/A means of determining rate-of-flow on all water pumps
The flow meter was observed in disrepair - Not functioning.
To ensure the proper rate of flow, a flow meter shall be functioning properly. Repair or replace the flow meter.
3701-31-04 (C)(3)/Total alkalinity is at or greater than 60 ppm
The alkalinity was observed at 50 ppm.
For the pool to be properly balanced, the alkalinity shall be at or above 60 ppm. Add sodium bicarbonate to the pool to increase the alkalinity of the pool.
3701-31-04(D)(6)(a)(2)/Pool free chlorine disinfectant residual shall be above 1 ppm.
Observed the ORP of the automatic chemical controller at 554.
For the free chlorine to be at or above 1.0 ppm, the ORP of the ACC shall be at or above 650. Increase the ORP of the ACC.
Comments
- At the time of inspection, the circulation system was observed in good repair and the chlorine residual was observed at 2.0 ppm. The flow meter was also observed in good repair.

- A reinspection will be conducted on or after 08/01/2017 to check the installation of the equalizer line covers.

- A reinspection was unable to be conducted on 07/28/2017 because the pool was closed due to vomit accident.
