3717-1-04.4(A)(2) / Equipment components kept intact, tight, and adjusted
Observed cooler door seal on produce cooler was damaged. Observed a 3-door cooler in dry storage was damaged. Repair to prevent warm air from entering the cooler & causing damage.
Equipment components such as doors, seals, hinges, fasteners, and kick plates shall be kept intact, tight, and adjusted in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.
3717-1-06(A)(1) / Indoor areas - surface characteristics
Observed some areas in the produce cooler & outside of it where caulking along floor/wall junctions were damaged. Repair caulking to prevent water or pests from getting behind the areas & allow easy cleaning.
Where FSO or RFE activities are conducted, materials for indoor floor, wall, and ceiling surfaces shall be smooth, durable, and easily cleanable; closely woven and easily cleanable carpet for carpeted areas; and nonabsorbent for areas subject to moisture.
3717-1-06.1(M) / Outer openings - protected.
Observed light visible underneath door in dry storage. Replace weather stripping to prevent pests from entering the facility.
To prevent contamination, outer openings of an FSO or RFE shall be protected against the entry of insects and rodents as specified in this rule.
