Comments
Due to severe storms and tornadoes that affected the area last night, our office came out to discuss food safety procedures and check on temperatures of stored food. Owner explained that he has been monitoring the food and temperatures. TCS foods in the walkins are adequate. However, open coolers with TCS foods on shelving was temping at 58F and shall be discarded per ODH instructions on food safety and power outages. Several copies of this document were given to employees for temperature checks when power comes back on, as the entire store is black and you cannot see what you are doing. The store has no generators and the owner is working with South Central Power to get the electric back on, all other establishments around facility have power - but the facility still does not. If power does not return within the hour, then most if not all TCS foods in the open coolers will need to be discarded.
