3717-1-02.4(C)(17) / PIC: duties - ensure the facility has written procedures for responding to vomiting and diarrheal events.
Repeat No written procedures for responding to vomiting or diarrheal events. At time of inspection, PIC unaware of where to find vomit/fecal cleanup instructions. Copy of Ohio Department of Health's vomit/fecal clean up guidance to be dropped off with inspection report 3/11/24. Ensure instructions remain on file. -Correct by next standard inspection.

3717-1-07.2 / Poisonous or toxic materials: storage and display - separation
Critical Corrected During Inspection Improper display of poisonous or toxic materials offered for retail sale. Observed candy stored on end cap display in aisle 1 directly below chemical/non-consumables (air fresheners, deodorant, foot cream, and shampoo). PIC removed candy from display during inspection.

Equipment components are not intact, tight or properly adjusted. Observed door gaskets on "fresh foods" retail cooler doors for bottled beverages and milk to be torn/broken. Repair or replace gaskets. -Correct by next standard inspection.

3717-1-04.1(H) / Nonfood-contact surfaces - cleanability
Repeat Nonfood-contact surfaces not easily cleanable. Observed ice build-up in nestle ice cream retrial freezer, rendering surfaces no longer easily cleanable. Defrost and thoroughly clean by 3/15/2024.

Repeat Non-food contact surfaces of equipment are unclean. Observed visible residue build up on sliders inside Pepsi and Coca Cola beverage coolers near register. Thoroughly clean or replace sliders. -Correct by 3/15/24.

Repeat Non-food contact surfaces of equipment are unclean. Observed visible residues on shelving and bottom interiors of "fresh foods" coolers. Thoroughly clean shelving to rid of visible residues. -Correct by 3/15/24.

Repeat Improperly cleaned storage area for refuse, recyclables, or returnables. Observed trash and debris on the ground around dumpster area. Clean dumpster area and remove lose trash/debris. -Correct by 4/15/24.

Repeat Waste receptacles not covered properly. Observed lids on dumpster to be open when not in use. To deter pest harborage, ensure lids on dumpster remain closed in between use. -Correct today.

Repeat Facility not maintained clean. Observed areas of the floors throughout facility to contain visible residues and dust accumulation. Thoroughly clean floors with special attention to under equipment and along bottoms of retail shelving. -Correct by 3/15/24.

Critical Corrected During Inspection Food in an RFE must be embargoed due to adulteration, misbranding, or baby food or formula is expired. Observed can of Gerber good start formula on retail shelf with use by date of 3/1/24. PIC opened and discarded contents of can in garbage can at time of inspection.

Inspection conducted and reviewed with manager/PIC. Risk level 1 activities include offering for sale pre-packaged refrigerated or frozen potentially hazardous foods, pre-packaged non-potentially hazardous food and beverages, baby food and formula. Facility unable to received outside emails, inspection report to be delivered in person via specialist 3/11/24.
