3717-1-02.4(A)(2) / PIC - Manager Certification
Repeat Facility does not have an employee with manager certification in food protection. Obtain level 2 food manager training by next standard inspection.

3717-1-04.1(KK) / Food equipment - certification and classification.
Equipment not approved by a recognized testing agency. Upright white freezer in back storage area not observed to be commercial grade and not permitted for use in facility. Remove from use or replace with commercial grade freezer by next standard inspection.

3717-1-04.1(H) / Nonfood-contact surfaces - cleanability
Nonfood-contact surfaces not easily cleanable. Observed water damage to finish on cabinet below juice machine resulting in finish to be pulling away from wood. Surface is no longer easily cleanable. Repair or replace by next standard inspection.

Repeat Nonfood-contact surfaces not easily cleanable. Observed lid to waffle batter holder in self service breakfast area to be melted/warped and no longer easily cleanable. Replace lids by next standard inspection.

3717-1-04.5(A)(3) / Cleanliness of nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment.
Non-food contact surfaces of equipment are unclean. Observed visible food debris build up in interior bottom of toaster in breakfast area. Clean interior bottom by 4-3-23.

3717-1-05.1(J) / Backflow prevention device - when required.
Critical No air gap or approved backflow prevention device on the plumbing system. Observed no backflow device on Bunn coffee maker in kitchen area or on juice machine in self service buffet area. Ensure proper backflow devices are installed on water supply inlet of both units. Discussed removing units from service as uncorrected critical is standing. However, facility wishes to have units remain in service due to they are the only coffee maker and juice machine in facility. GM provided copy of quote from plumber and states she has to get approval from corporate due to amount of estimate. Will schedule immediately as soon as approval is given. Correct by 4-3-23.

3717-1-20(C) / Specifications for replacing equipment and facilities in existing facilities
FSO or RFE changed owners without updating existing equipment and facilities to comply with this code. Observed white reach in freezer in back storage area used to store bagels and other foods to not be commercial grade and not updated during ownership change. Remove from use or replace with commercial grade equipment by next standard inspection.

Comments
Inspection conducted with food employee. No hot foods observed at time of inspection as breakfast hours were over. Level IV facility for time in lieu of temperature for pancake/waffle batter held on breakfast buffet. Inspection report emailed.

III - P - Preventing Contamination by Hands: Hand washing facilities are properly supplied.
X - P - Chemical: Toxic materials are properly identified and stored.
IV - Demonstration of Knowledge: There was no person in charge present in the food facility during inspection.
