3717-1-04(I) / Nonfood-contact surfaces - materials.
Nonfood-contact surfaces constructed of unapproved materials. Observed a strip of bare wood on the bottom of the cabinet under the cash register. Shelves and cabinets shall be sealed with paint or laminated to provide an easily cleanable, smooth, and non-absorbent surface.

3717-1-04.4(A)(2) / Equipment components kept intact, tight, and adjusted
Equipment components are not intact, tight or properly adjusted. Observed gaskets on the prep cooler that were coming loose at the top. Repair or replace gaskets to properly seal cooler.

3717-1-06.4(A) / Repairing.
Physical facilities not maintained in good repair. Observed baseboard peeling off the wall behind the Haier upright freezer.

Conducted inspection with Madison Lotz, SIT. Discussed inspection with Manager, Judy and Owner, Roger. Verbally discussed replacing non-commercial equipment (white Haier upright freezer and white Lazarus chest freezer) with commercial equipment when non-commercial equipment no longer functions properly. At the time of inspection, the handsink was out of order. Employees are currently using food prep sink to wash hands.
