Inspection Information

Facility Type: Pool

[?] Inspection Type: Standard

Inspection Date: 28-November-2023

Comments
Observed the dates on the test kit reagent bottles to be beyond their 'best buy' dates. Spoke with the pool's operator who said that when the bottles are empty they refill those reagent bottles from larger stock solutions. Pool's operator will need to ensure that the best buy dates of the test kit reagents are maintained to ensure that reagents are not being used beyond their best buy dates.

At time of inspection the ACC unit was powered but was not displaying the pH and ORP. The pool's operator stated that the ACC unit is not used. In addition, the ACC unit is not on the Ohio Department of Health's list of acceptable units. If the licensee wishes to use the ACC unit in the future the manufacturer will need to submit the unit to Ohio Department of Health to be placed on their list of acceptable units, or will need to replace the unit with one that is on that list.

When the pool is open for use, the licensee will need to ensure that at least one individual is available to test and record the disinfection residuals and pH prior to bathers entering the pool, and at least every four hours that the pool is open, and to ensure that the water temperature tested and recorded at least once a day, and alkalinity once a week.
