A USCG Type IV personal flotation device with 30 -60 foot throw line was not provided at the unguarded pool. Ensure flotation device is equipped with nylon line that is one-quarter inch in diameter and not less than 30 feet or more than 60 feet in length.
Provide a proper floatation device at all times.

Ensure that the emergency device is functioning properly and rings to the emergency response authorities.

Spa caution sign missing required information.
Post the spa caution sign prominently at the spa whenever it is in use. The licensee of a public spa shall prominently mount a caution sign adjacent to the entrance to the public spa. The sign shall contain the same or similar language as follows: "CAUTION -Pregnant women, elderly persons and persons suffering from heart disease, diabetes or high or low blood pressure should not enter the spa/hot tub without prior medical consultation and permission from their doctor. -Do not use the spa/hot tub while under the influence of alcohol, tranquilizers, or other drugs that cause drowsiness or that raise or lower blood pressure. -Do not use at water temperatures greater than one hundred four degrees F. -Do not use alone. -Unsupervised use by children is prohibited. -Observe reasonable time limits (that is, ten to fifteen minutes), then leave the water and cool down before returning for another brief stay. -Long exposure may result in nausea, dizziness, or fainting."
