3701-31-04 (A) / Approval shall be obtained for any construction or alterations of a public swimming pool.
Public swimming pool was constructed, installed, or substantially altered without obtaining approval from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). Pool main file originally had disinfection as erosion feeder Pentair 300-29x. Pool has salt water generator. Ensure equipment replacement notification is submitted to state for disinfection and if pump motor has been changed from original. Email copy of approval to jredmond@tchdnow.org
Contact ODH to obtain approval for any construction/alterations before operating pool.
3701-31-04 (C)(2) / pH is within 7.2 to 7.8
pH was outside the range of 7.2 to 7.8.
Treat the pool water so that the pH is within the acceptable range.
3701-31-04 (E)(2)(a)(iii) / A back/spine board is provided
A back/spine board without a head immobilizer and straps was not provided at the unguarded pool.
Provide the back/spine board with head immobilizer at the pool at all times.
3701-31-04 (E)(2)(e) / Working emergency telephone/call box provided.
Emergency device (telephone) was not working. Ensure sign is posted for emergency contacts for pool.
Ensure that the emergency device is functioning properly and rings to the emergency response authorities.
