3701-31-04 (B)(6)(f) / Required turnover rates are sufficient
Repeat Required turnover rates were not met. Observed turnover rate of 30 gpm at time of inspection.
Have the circulation system evaluated to determine why the turnover rates are not able to be met. Once the reasons have been determined have the issue repaired. If necessary, submit plans to the Ohio Department of Health to review and approve.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(s) / Perimeter barrier is in good repair to prevent unauthorized entry
Repeat Observed gap by the entry gate between gate door and fence at time of inspection. Gate was also not self closing/self latching. Discussed with PIC. Plans to repair/replace door are made; timeline not determined at this time. Will follow up at next inspection.

The following violation(s) have been corrected since the last inspection.
3701-31-04(D)(6)(a)(2)/Pool free chlorine disinfectant residual shall be above 1 ppm.
Pool free chlorine disinfectant residual was below 1 ppm. Observed free chlorine disinfectant residual at 0 ppm at time of inspection. Discussed with PIC. Follow up schedule made to ensure disinfectant residual level is reached and maintained.
Do not operate the pool until the chlorine disinfectant residual is at 1 ppm or above.
Comments
Follow up inspection completed to ensure minimum chlorine residual is reached and maintained. Observed Free Chlorine at 1 ppm, Total Chlorine at 1 ppm and Combined at 0 ppm. Pool may be open to swimmers.

Discussed required flow rate (gpm) with PIC at time of inspection. Flow meter measured current flow rate of 50 gpm. Required minimum flow rate for size of pool is 187.5 gpm. PIC noted that Ohio Department of Health and pool companies may be consulted to diagnose circulation system for reason(s) resulting in insufficient flow rate.

3701-31-5.1(F)(1): Water in a public swimming pool shall be circulated and filtered completely in accordance with the following turnover rates, as applicable, or as allowed by the licensor for existing public swimming pools: For public swimming pools at least once every eight hours.
