3701-31-04 (B)(3)
Repeat Staff was not trained or knowledgeable in pool operations.
Train staff in pool operations, operation of equipment, chemical storage, use and handling and appropriate emergency procedures.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(ii)
Combined chlorine was not tested daily at pool side prior to use.
Test for combined chlorine prior to bathers entering the water and every 4 hours the pool is open for use. If ACC is in use combined chlorine must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use. For spraygrounds and spray features, the combined chlorine must be tested at 1 spray feature every 6 hours the sprayground or spray feature is in use.

Spa water was not drained in the last 30 days. PIC stated the spa water has not been drained since he started over 2 years ago.
Drain spa immediately and clean before placing the spa back in operation.

Critical Repeat ACC was off and non-functional at the time of inspection.

DPD test kit was not used for testing water quality. Current test kit cannot measure/test for combined chlorine.
Obtain a DPD test kit to test water quality of the pool.
3701-31-04(D)(6)(a)(1)
Repeat Combined chlorine was greater than 1.0 ppm. Testing revealed the combined chlorine to be 1.8 ppm.
Treat the pool so that the combined chlorine is less than 1 ppm.
Comments
ACC was turned off at the time of inspection; PIC stated he has had it turned off for some time due to suspected issues with the unit. Discussed ensuring the unit is always functioning properly with the PIC.

Combined chlorine should be tested daily - ensure this is getting done. Facility must order a test kit that has the ability to test for the combined chlorine.

Spa should be drained and cleaned immediately; this should be done at least once every 30 days, and recorded on your daily water testing sheet.
