3701-31-04 (B)(4)
The licensee /authorized representative was not keeping or maintaining operational records. Operational records are maintained by a third party off site. A copy or access to those records should be available on site.
All facility records must be maintained and available for review upon request.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(i)
Disinfection residuals were not tested daily at pool side and/or at the required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features. Records were not available upon request to verify.
Test the disinfection residual every day before bathers enter the water. Disinfection residual must then be tested every 4 hours when an ACC is not in use. If an ACC is in use the disinfectant residual must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use. For spraygrounds and spray features, the disinfectant residual must be tested at 1 spray feature every 6 hours the sprayground or spray feature is in use.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(ii)
Combined chlorine was not tested daily at pool side prior to use. Facility hires a third party to test chemicals in the pool (daily). The third party arrives at 3 PM every day per conversation with pool staff, this would be 6 hours after the bathers are permitted in pool, when it opens at 9 AM. Chemicals need to be checked prior to bathers to ensure compliance.
Test for combined chlorine prior to bathers entering the water and every 4 hours the pool is open for use. If ACC is in use combined chlorine must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use. For spraygrounds and spray features, the combined chlorine must be tested at 1 spray feature every 6 hours the sprayground or spray feature is in use.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(iii)

Water temperatures were not being recorded daily. Records were not available upon request. Records need to be provided proving water temperature was recorded daily.
Take and record the water temperature at least once/day.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(ix)
Chemicals added to the pool other than those used for disinfection were not being recorded. Unable to verify if records are being maintained for chemicals being added directly to the pool to fix water chemistry.
Facility records must indicate when chemicals, other than disinfectants, are added to the pool water.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(vi)
Total alkalinity was not tested weekly. Records were not available for viewing at time of inspection to see if the pool operator was in compliance with testing.
Test total alkalinity at least once/week.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(vii)
Cyanuric acid was not tested weekly.
Test for cyanuric acid level at least once/week. With Tri-Chlor being the back up disinfection method for the pool, cyanuric acid should be tested weekly and recorded. Records were not kept on site to verify if the cyanuric acid was being tested weekly.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(viii)
Total dissolved solids were not being tested per manufacturer specifications. Records were not available to verify the frequency of testing.
Total dissolved solids must be tested in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and when water clarity is a problem.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(c)
SVRS/APSOS/ACC test results/ service records were not maintained. Records for SVRS/APSOS/ACC test were not available upon request at the time of inspection.
The test results/service records for these devices must be kept on site for review. If the device has not been recently serviced, have the device tested immediately and provide documentation of the test results.
3701-31-04 (B)(5)
Records were not maintained for at least two years. No records were provided for review at the time of inspection.
Maintain all records and have them available upon request.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(b)
Replacement pipe was not rigid PVC or equivalent. Flexible couplings were installed on piping. These need to be rigid PVC pipe per ASTM F44`M-99 or equivalent.
Replace the non rigid PVC pipe with the proper rigid PVC pipe for public swimming pools.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(h)
Required meters and gauges were not maintained or were not functional while the pool is in operation. The flow meter was not within the proper range to record the flow rate of the pump. Flow meter needs to have a range reflecting the pool's range of 32.7 to 63 gpm.
Maintain all meters and gauges in a properly funtioning manner at all times while the pool is in operation.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(i)
A means of determining rate-of-flow was not found for all water pumps. As stated prior, the flow meter did not display the proper range to show the entire flow range of the system. Flow meter should reflect 32.7-63 gpm of the system.
Properly install a flow meter or have a pump curve available for every water pump used for the pool.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(s)
Exterior door to pool area from the hotel was not able to be locked during the inspection.
Pool staff needs to be able to lock door inorder to prevent unauthorized entry.
3701-31-04 (C)(2)
pH was outside the range of 7.2 to 7.8. At the time of inspection the pH came back as 8.0.
Treat the pool water so that the pH is within the acceptable range.
3701-31-04 (D)(8)(c)
Test kit reagents were not fresh or stored properly. Several of the reagents found in test kit were out of date and need to be replaced.
Obtain fresh reagents and store them properly.
3701-31-04 (E)(3)(b)
The unguarded pool was in use without the "Children must be supervised" and/or "Swimming alone is not recommended" signs posted. Sign needs to change wording from "swim at your own risk" to "Swimming alone is not recommended."
Post the "Children must be supervised" and/or "Swimming Alone is Not Recommended" signs at all times the pool is available for use.
3701-31-04 (E)(3)(c)
Sign indicating the location of the emergency device (telephone) was not provided and emergency device was not visible in the pool area. Since the phone at the pool rings to front desk, a sign stating that needs to be placed above phone. The phone at front desk therefore, becomes the emergency phone and must be accessible with proper signage.
Ensure that a sign informing patrons of the location of the emergency device is always visible in the pool area.

Automatic lock was not in operation at time of inspection. Discussed using the outside door as a barrier and locking it when pool is not in operation to ensure the security of the pool when it needs to be inoperable.
