3701-31-04 (B)(1)(e)
Critical Automatic Chemical Controller (ACC) was not functioning properly at the time of the inspection
Do not operate the pool when the ACC unit is not functioning properly. Ensure that the ACC unit is functioning properly prior to placing the pool back into operation.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)
The licensee/authorized representative was not keeping or maintaining operational records. Records had not been been kept for over 2 months.
All facility records must be maintained and available for review upon request.
3701-31-04 (C)(2)
pH was outside the range of 7.2 to 7.8. pH was measured to be approximately 5.0 at the time of inspection.
Treat the pool water so that the pH is within the acceptable range.
3701-31-04 (C)(3)
Total alkalinity was less than 60 ppm. Test was attempted but not measurable. Alkalinity was well below 60 ppm.
Raise the total alkalinity to at least 60 ppm.

Critical Automatic chemical controller for spa was not functional at the time of inspection.

Test kit reagents were not fresh. Pool operator was using expired reagents for water testing.
Obtain fresh reagents.

Combined chlorine was greater than 1.0 ppm. Combined chlorine was measured at above 7 ppm.
Treat the pool so that the combined chlorine is less than 1 ppm.
Comments
Total chlorine, combined chlorine, free chlorine, and alkalinity were all left blank above because these tests were attempted, but were not measurable. Spa was only half full at the time of inspection. The water level of the spa was not intentionally brought down by staff. It was recommended the spa be closed due to multiple critical conditions until the water chemistry could be normalized.
