The North Shore Environmental Health Consortium (NSEHC) is a licensing and inspection agent for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) and the Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS). We provide services for the seven Wisconsin communities of Bayside, Brown Deer, Fox Point, Glendale, River Hills, Shorewood and Whitefish Bay with a total population of more than 65,000. The NSHD has two offices, located in Brown Deer and Shorewood.
What We Do
The NSEHC inspects and licenses the following type of facilities in the North Shore Environmental Health Consortium.
- Restaurants and Retail Food Stores
- Pubic swimming pools
- Lodging establishments
Environmental Health Specialists (health inspectors) also investigate consumer concerns and complaints regarding licensed establishments, food or waterborne illnesses complaints, and public health hazards.
