Sheboygan County is home to over 115,000 residents and covers over 1,200 square miles.  The Sheboygan County Division of Public Health issues approximately 850 licenses and conducts over 1,000 inspections annually.

The Environmental Health Program consists of 3 Environmental Health Sanitarians that perform a variety of environmental and public health functions.  One area within the Environmental Health program is the licensing and inspection program.  Sheboygan County Division of Public Health is an agent for the Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection and the Department of Safety and Professional Services and conducts inspection on their behalf.  Inspections are conducted at facilities such as restaurants, retail food stores (grocery stores and convenience stores), lodging establishments (hotels, motels, bed and Breakfast, tourist rooming houses), recreational swimming pools, campgrounds, tattoo and body piercing businesses, and recreational/educational camps.

Sheboygan County Division of Public Health is working toward making inspection reports of licensed facilities more accessible to the public.  Currently, this public portal is limited to view only restaurant and retail food establishment inspection reports, however, in the future additional license types may be added to this site.
