Sheboygan County is working in conjunction with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) to make inspection reports of regulated facilities more accessible to the public. Currently this public portal is limited to viewing only restaurant and retail food establishment inspection reports.
Environmental Sanitarians conduct annual risk-based inspections. Emphasis and focus of an inspection is directed toward observing processes that could cause foodborne illness in customers. Please keep in mind that an inspection report is only a “snapshot” of observations recorded during the time that the sanitarian was in the facility. Therefore, an inspection report may not be representative of the overall, long-term conditions within an establishment.
