The Vilas County Health Department Environmental Health Staff (EHS) is made up of two State of Wisconsin Registered Sanitarians. The EHS works with establishment owners and managers to ensure their facilities are managed in a sanitary manner to protect public health. As a result of extensive training on State Administrative Codes and FDA Food Inspection Protocol, the EHS can ensure that they are conducting uniform inspections for every facility.

The reports you will view are "snapshots" of conditions which existed during the inspection. Therefore, an individual report may not be representative of the long term, overall operation of the establishment.

If you have any questions regarding an inspection report, please contact our EHS at 715-479-3656. Currently, only the restaurant inspections are available for public viewing. In the future, we hope to be able to provide inspection reports for the other facilities as well.
