Environmental Health program staff of the Clallam Health Department are responsible for conducting inspections at water recreational facilities. These inspections help protect the swimmers from risks that could lead to waterborne illnesses. Inspected water recreational facility include swimming pools and spas. The frequency of inspections is determined by the adoption of the Dept. of Health Water Recreational Facility guidelines. It is important to note that inspection results are a reflection of what the inspector observed at the time of the inspection. Facilities that fail an inspection and are required to close, may receive a follow-up inspection within a short period of time to check the correction of the deficient items.
