The Winnebago County Health Department is a Level III public health agency located on the west shores of Lake Winnebago in east central Wisconsin.  The Department is comprised of 6 units: Administration, Communicable Disease, Community Health & Prevention, Environmental Health, Healthy Lifespan, and WIC (Women, Infant and Children).  Our main office is located in the City of Oshkosh with a satellite office located in the City of Neenah. 

The Winnebago County Health Department provides public health services to all of Winnebago County except for the City of Menasha.  The services focus on promotion of wellness, prevention of disease and assurance of a healthy environment.  The environmental health team focuses on the protection and promotion of a healthy environment by preventing, assessing, correcting, and controlling agents in the environment, which could potentially have adverse effects on the health and well-being of individuals in our community.

Winnebago County Health Department covers 579 square miles and is home to approximately 151,000 residents that reside in 4 cities, 1 village and 16 townships.
