Adams County is located in central Wisconsin with a population of 20,148.   Adams County Health and Human Services- Division of Public Health is located at, 108 East North Street, Friendship, WI 53934.  We are a Level III Health Department who contracts with Wood County for Environmental Health services.

What We Do

The Environmental Health Section of the Wood County Health Department licenses and inspects every public restaurant, retail food establishment, swimming pool, campground, recreational education camp, lodging establishment, food operation, and body art business in Adams County. Environmental Health Specialists investigate consumer concerns or complaints regarding public health hazards, or licensed establishments including food or waterborne illnesses complaints. This section promotes public awareness of environmental hazards and the things people can do to keep their food, water, and recreational resources safe.
