The Village of Hales Corners is located in Milwaukee County, occupies an area of 3.2 square miles, and has a population of 7678. The Hales Corners Health Department consists of 3.2 full-time equivalent positions, with a Health Officer, Public Health Nurse, Administrative Assistant, and Registered Sanitarian providing programs and services to protect and promote the health of all people as they live, work, play and learn in our community. Over 300 businesses exist within the Village, including restaurants, retail stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, massage establishments, veterinary clinics, a pet store, a bed and breakfast establishment, and a tattoo and body piercing establishment. As an agent for the Department of Health Services Food Safety and Recreational Licensing section, the HCHD is responsible for program management, inspection and licensure of many of the businesses listed above within our jurisdiction.
